One of my oldest friends and the most talented artist I have met, Anne Carson (check out her jewellery designs at https://www.annecarsondesign.com) gave me this recipe. Super simple (just needs time), it's guaranteed to be a crowd pleaser. All ingredients are available at most grocery stores.
Ingredients
3/4 C Japanese soy sauce
3 T sugar
2 T Marin
2 T sake
1/4 t grated ginger
1/4 t grated garlic
4 6-ounce pieces of sablefish (black cod)
Instructions
Combine marinade ingredients in a ziplock bag and mix.
Add the fish, making sure it is well-coated
Seal and refrigerate for 24 hours, turning to ensure full coverage.
Preheat oven to 425F.
Place fish on a non-stick baking sheet, leaving space between each piece (I use parchment paper to line the pan - no clean up after).
Bake for 12 minutes.
Perfect every time. Enjoy!!! So easy and so tasty.
Serve with a lightly steamed veg and either roasted potatoes or rice.
