If you've walked in Moccasin Trail Park recently you would have noticed the destructive graffiti all over the entrance to the Rainbow Tunnel. Not only was it disturbing that our landmark was defaced, it was done just in time for Pride Month. Enter Mural Routes to the rescue. As promised, they have stepped in to restore the tunnel to its original, colourful state. It is hoped that addressing the graffiti tagging, which could now be found on both sides of the mural, will send the message that the artwork is being taken care of and will hopefully prevent further graffiti tagging.
It's a beautiful part of our community. The restoration would not have been possible without generous donations from the public. Mural Routes is committed to continuing to keep the Rainbow Tunnel in good condition for the years to come.
If you are able, please take a few minutes to donate. The Rainbow Tunnel has long been an icon of our area. We need to ensure that it stays this way.
